Getting Started
Your start in Mebula: the first quests with Master Shin, your first battles and catches, the balloon to the mainland and what comes next.

Welcome to Mebula! You begin your adventure as a young trainer on the starting islands, with only your first Mebuly at your side. Your big goal: catch, train and evolve Mebulys, defeat the masters of the world and collect all 101 Mebulys step by step. This page guides you through your first hours.
Your first quests with Master Shin
Your adventure begins on the central one of the four starting islands (Central Island). Mestari Shin, a former grand master of Mebula, is waiting for you there. His three quests are your introduction to the game:
- Welcome young student – Talk to the fight master Daisuke and fight your first battle. As a reward, Kipivarpu joins you as your second Mebuly, and you also get a little silver and 5× Heikko kristalli.
- Explore the islands – Look around the three neighbouring islands: the volcano cave (Volcano Island), the hotel grounds (Beach Island) and the river (Green Island). You gain experience along the way while the balloon to the mainland is being prepared.
- Outdoing the master – Finally, Mestari Shin wants to fight you himself. He uses all three starter Mebulys: Versoli, Liekkeli and Tihkuli, each at level 8. Reward: 10,000 silver, plus Pieni manajuoma and Pieni parantava juoma – and once you win, you can finally board the balloon.
Right next to Mestari Shin stands the healer Hanako. She heals your team for free at any time – visit her after every tough fight. More about this: Healing and energy.
Your first battles and catches
In many areas you meet wild Mebulys while walking around. In battle you choose one of up to four attacks, and every attack costs energy. Every victory gives your team experience, and victories against trainers also give silver. The basics are explained in Battles.
- Catching: weaken a wild Mebuly without defeating it, then throw a crystal from your bag – the game calls this “sealing”. The less health it has left, the better your chances (Catching Mebulys).
- Team and bank: up to five Mebulys travel with you in your team. Every further one goes to the bank, which you can access at the Bank Manager in the towns (Your team, Bank).
- Push: freshly caught Mebulys start at level 5. For two hours you can push them once for gold, at most up to the level at which you caught them – exactly how far also depends on your medals (Push).
- Trainers: many NPCs are trainers and challenge you when you walk past them. You can challenge every trainer once a day for free (Trainers).
- Defeat: if all your Mebulys are knocked out, you have to wait a short while – or skip the waiting time with gold (Defeat and knockout).
By balloon to the mainland
Once you have defeated Mestari Shin, you may use the balloon at the landing stage of the starting island. It takes you to the mainland, to the balloon landing stage on Route 1 – and back again whenever you like (Route 1). Just behind it lies your first town: Meadow Docks. There you find healers, merchants, a Bank Manager, a Summoner and a Technician.
This town is also home to the first master: Mestari Nibori. For every victory against a master you receive a medal – among other things, it raises how far you can push freshly caught Mebulys (Medals). All masters at a glance: The masters.
