Quests

Accept tasks, complete them, collect your reward: how quests work in Mebula, from the quest log to questing together in a group.

Quests are tasks given to you by the people of Mebula. They guide you through the world, tell the story of Mebula and reward you with silver, items, reputation and sometimes even a rare Mebuly. If you do quests regularly, you progress much faster than by fighting alone.

Spotting quest givers

Characters with a task for you carry a symbol above their head and show up as yellow dots on the minimap. Yellow exclamation mark: a new quest is waiting. Yellow question mark: the quest is done, collect your reward. Blue symbols mean the same for daily quests. Grey question mark: the quest is still running and something is missing.

Accepting and finishing

Talk to the character (space bar or click). The quest window shows the story, the tasks and the reward. Click “Accept quest” to start. Once all tasks are done, hand the quest in with “Finish quest”. Usually you return to the same character, sometimes to someone else, for example the person who receives a delivery.

Your active quests are listed in the quest log: press L or open the character window and pick the “Quests” tab. Quests are sorted by area and show the story, the tasks and the reward. As soon as everything is done, the quest is marked as “done”.

Task types

  • Defeat trainers: beat certain people or win a number of trainer battles in an area (Trainers).
  • Scare away Mebulys: defeat a number of wild Mebulys of a certain kind in battle.
  • Hand in items: collect, find, buy or win items from Mebulys and deliver them. They are taken from your bag when you finish the quest (Quest items). For deliveries, you get the package right away.
  • Explore places: go to a certain spot and press the button to look around, search or examine. Wild Mebulys may attack you while you do.
  • Escort someone: a person follows you, so bring them safely to their destination.

Rewards

Every quest tells you its reward in advance: silver, items, reputation with a faction (Reputation), order energy for your order (Orders), rarely gold, and sometimes a new Mebuly or a battle against a very rare one (Legendary encounters). Some quests unlock something: the balloon to the mainland, the path to the first master, teleporters or a merchant.

Questing together

In a group of up to five members, won battles against trainers and wild Mebulys also count for your teammates' quests, as long as they are online, on the same map and have accepted the quest. From six members on (raid), progress is no longer shared. Collecting, handing in and exploring is something everyone does alone.
