Starter Mebulys

When you create your character, you choose one of three starter Mebulys: Βλαστάρι of type φύλλο, Φλογίτσα of type Φωτιά or Ψιλόβροχο of type νερό. All three evolve twice – at level 20 and at level 40 – and gain a second type in their final form.

• Βλαστάρι → Δεντρούλης → Δεντρώνας (φύλλο and γη)
• Φλογίτσα → Φλογάρης → Φλογοστρόβι (Φωτιά and πτήση)
• Ψιλόβροχο → Συννεφούλης → Συννεφάρας (νερό and πτήση)

The type triangle

The three form a classic triangle: φύλλο attacks work well against νερό, νερό attacks work well against Φωτιά and Φωτιά attacks work well against φύλλο. Against Mebulys of its own type, on the other hand, each starter achieves little. You find the full chart under Types and type chart.

The three compared

Βλαστάρι is an attacker: lots of attack power, but little defense. Its final form Δεντρώνας is one of the hardest hitters in the game and has lots of health, but it is very slow. Βλαστάρι is weak against Φωτιά, πτήση and πάγος. Δεντρώνας is immune to ηλεκτρικός, but πτήση attacks hit it very hard.

Φλογίτσα has good attack values and the highest critical hit chance of the three. Its final form Φλογοστρόβι becomes very fast and strong in Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game). Φλογίτσα is weak against νερό, βράχος and γη. Φλογοστρόβι is immune to γη, but βράχος attacks hit it very hard.

Ψιλόβροχο is the sturdy one: high defense, but less attack power. Συννεφούλης brings lots of health, and the final form Συννεφάρας is balanced and well protected. Ψιλόβροχο is weak against φύλλο and ηλεκτρικός. Συννεφάρας is immune to γη, but ηλεκτρικός attacks hit it very hard.

What does this mean for the first masters?

The first master (Δάσκαλος Nibori) relies mainly on Mebulys of type πτήση: they hurt Βλαστάρι badly, while Φλογίτσα withstands them well. With the second master (Kohana) everything revolves around φύλλο – here Φλογίτσα shines and Ψιλόβροχο has a hard time. The third master (Δασκάλα Nami) fights with νερό: now Βλαστάρι has the advantage and Φλογίτσα the disadvantage.

Your choice is not final: you can get the other two starter Mebulys later in the shop as companions for gold (Mebulys in the shop). By the way, starter Mebulys and their evolutions cannot be released – they stay loyal to you.
