Battles
How battles work in Mebula: waiting times instead of fixed rounds, four attacks, switching, items, escaping and rewards.

Battles are the heart of Mebula. You fight wild Mebulys you meet on your travels, trainers, the masters and, in PvP, other players. Your team always sends one Mebuly onto the field at a time – first the one highest up in your team order that is not knocked out (Your team).
Whose turn is it?
Mebula has no fixed rounds. Every action takes time: after an attack, your Mebuly has to wait until it can act again. How long is shown by each attack's “Time” value. At the top of the battle window, every Mebuly's waiting time counts down next to a clock icon – whoever reaches zero first gets to act. So never compare attacks by damage alone: two quick attacks can do more than one slow one.
If two Mebulys are ready at the same moment, the faster one acts first – this is where speed counts. Conditions such as wet or shocked lower it (Status effects). When several Mebulys are fighting, a timeline shows everyone in turn order: your Mebuly in blue, allies in green, opponents in red.
Your options in battle
- Attacks: Every Mebuly knows up to four attacks, which you can also trigger with the keys 1 to 4. Most of them cost energy. If there is not enough energy left for any of your attacks, only the weak emergency move “utolsó tartalékok” remains. You can find all attacks under Attacks.
- Switching: With “send to battle” you bring another Mebuly from your team onto the field. This takes time, and the Mebuly coming in is briefly weakened by the “exchange” condition. If a Mebuly is knocked out, you send in the next one without this drawback.
- Items: Against wild Mebulys and trainers you can use potions and elixirs (Items in battle), and against wild Mebulys you can also throw crystals (Catching Mebulys). This takes time too.
- Escaping: You can run away from wild Mebulys, but it does not always work – and a failed attempt costs you time. There is no escape from battles against trainers and masters.
Sometimes several wild Mebulys attack at once. Then you choose your target by clicking on the opponent. In PvP, you and your group can even fight team against team (Group match).
Victory, rewards and level ups
After a win, every Mebuly that faced the opponents in battle gets experience (Experience and levels). Trainers also pay you silver, and wild Mebulys sometimes drop items. With premium you get more experience and more silver.
When the experience is enough for a new level, the game shows “Level up!”. Your Mebuly instantly gets its full health back plus a little energy. If it also says “Attack available”, it can learn a new attack (Learning attacks).
