サナギス

The pupa between アオムシ and ヒラチョウ: サナギス of the 葉 type hides in a nearly unbreakable shell but barely hits back – a short stop on the way.

In battle

サナギス's defense and Ki defense (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game) are among the highest in the whole game, and it has plenty of health too. Its Ki attack, on the other hand, is the weakest of all Mebulys, and its normal attacks don't achieve much either. In a team, サナギス is a tough blocker that soaks up hits while the others deal the damage. Only 火, フライト and 氷 attacks really get through its shell.

Evolution

サナギス evolves from アオムシ at level 12 and can become ヒラチョウ as early as level 14 – one of the shortest in-between stages in the game. You start the evolution yourself in the team window. So you won't have to live with its weak attacks for long: two levels of training, and a 葉 and フライト butterfly hatches from the pupa.
