コグモ

Something glittering in the bushes at dawn? That's probably コグモ: this little 葉 spider spins webs and fights with poison and psychic powers.

In battle

コグモ is versatile: high Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game), solid attack and a good evasion chance. It can only take a moderate amount of damage, though. Its poison attacks such as 毒針 and 毒の胞子 also deal damage over time, and with サイビュー and later サイバイト it carries 精神 attacks too – handy against おばけ Mebulys.

Where to find it and evolution

コグモ is widespread. You'll meet it most often on the maps Route 2 and Spider Lake, but occasionally in many other areas too, from the starting area all the way into the forest. Wild コグモ sometimes drop a 毒腺 in battle – exactly what the daily quest “Healing Poison” asks for. From level 32 you can evolve it into ドクグモ.
