Tafuni is a laid-back glutton of the kawaida type: huge health reserves, strong paws – and its very own quest line all about apples.

In battle

Tafuni is built like a fortress: its health and Ki defense (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game) are among the ten highest of all Mebulys, and its attack is among the 20 strongest. It is slow, though, and its normal defense is weak. kuruka hit from level 20 has a very high crit rate, and ngumi ya moto from level 24 adds a moto attack – handy against Mebulys of the jani, barafu and mashine types.

Catching and quest line

In the wild, Tafuni is a rarity: on the Apple Farm map it appears only very rarely (level 15–17). The quest line that starts on Route 4 is easier to plan: deliver a huge pile of apples there and earn your second medal, and at the end you face a wild Tafuni (level 25) on the Spider Lake map – seal it, but whatever you do, don't defeat it. Afterwards, a daily quest on Route 4 lets you lure it again, and you then receive it directly at level 30.
