Molluscule

The little shell Molluscule (water and ice) is rock-hard – but only on the outside. You can already find it on the starting islands.

You will want to collect Molluscule from the beach and take it home as a souvenir. But this little shell can do much more than just only gathering dust in a drawer.

In battle

Molluscule has one of the best defense values in the game and plenty of health – normal attacks break their teeth on its shell. That makes it all the more sensitive to Ki attacks (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game), because its Ki defense is among the lowest. It doesn't deal much damage either. Its moves hide a neat combo, though: bubbles can make the enemy wet, and wet Mebulys take more damage from ice attacks such as icicle.

Where to find it and evolution

You can occasionally meet Molluscule on the maps Beach Island and Central Island, at a very low level. Stronger ones show up later along the coasts of Route 8 – Beach and Route 9 – Shipwreck. From level 36 you can evolve it into Giganticlam.
