Master Ishu

After your third medal, you meet Master Ishu in front of the colosseum in Dusty Town. He is just setting off on an expedition into the pyramid and will take you along if you help out. In “Prepare expedition” you bring him supplies: apple, Powerful mana potion, Spell of Protection, Wave Crest water, Powerful healing potion and Great Elixir. In “Expedition to the pyramid” you meet him in front of the pyramid on Route 6, and in “The grave chamber” you fight your way past 20 archaeologists. After that, he faces you inside the pyramid.

Team and types

Master Ishu's team revolves around the rock and earth types: Pyramodo (leaf and earth), Petrizard (rock and flight), Igneothon and Craggeon (both rock and earth) plus Shellox (water and rock). Expect mostly earth and rock attacks.

• Good against him: attacks of the water type are effective against Petrizard, Igneothon and Craggeon, while attacks of the leaf type are effective against Igneothon and Craggeon and even very effective against Shellox. Pyramodo calls for something else: against it, flight is very effective, and ice and fire are effective.
• Bad against him: attacks of the electric type do nothing against Pyramodo, Igneothon and Craggeon, and fire and normal attacks bounce off rock. Mebulys of the fire type really feel his earth and rock attacks, Mebulys of the electric type mainly his earth attacks.
