Mariposín

Fast, colorful and dangerous: Mariposín combines the hoja and vuelo types and is the final form of Oruguín – a strong pick for your early team.

In battle

Mariposín shines with a high Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game) and good speed, backed by decent health. Its defense and normal attack are only average. So play it as a fast Ki attacker: aletazo and later corte de viento hit hoja and tierra Mebulys hard, while chorro de esporas takes care of roca and agua. It can heal in between with síntesis.

Strengths and weaknesses

Thanks to its type mix, Mariposín is very vulnerable to hielo attacks, and fuego, eléctrico and roca hurt it as well. On the other hand, it is immune to tierra attacks and shrugs off almost everything from hoja and máquina.
