Fogarín

Small, dainty and hard to crack: Fogarín, a fuego and tierra Mebuly from the volcano island, is a rewarding first catch.

In battle

Fogarín's big strength is its defense – one of the highest in the whole game. Normal hits barely scratch it, and it handles Ki attacks (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game) reasonably well too. Dealing damage is another story: its attack and especially its Ki attack are low. With bola de brillo and bola de fuego it can set enemies on fire so they keep taking damage over time, and llama regeneradora heals it. Attacks of the eléctrico type have no effect on Fogarín at all.

Where to find it and evolution

Fogarín is a common sight on the map Volcano Island, usually at a low level – a perfect first target for a Cristal débil. From level 32 you can evolve it into Lavatuga, an ancient giant that is even tougher but very slow.
