Platydrool

Beware of that stare! Platydrool, the final form of Mallarid, swaps its wings for psychic powers and becomes a tough water and psy all-rounder.

Caution! Platydrool crazed eyes not only look cute, it is also very dangerous and drives everyone around him out of his mind.

In battle

Platydrool is well-balanced: lots of health, a high Ki defense (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game) and solid values elsewhere. It wins fights through stamina rather than raw power. With hypnosion and dark vision it can confuse opponents, and healing source heals it. At the end it learns destruction, a very strong psy attack – but it counts as a normal attack and uses its rather modest attack.

How to get it

The easiest way is to evolve a Mallarid from level 28. Wild Platydrool occasionally live on the map Route 7 – Desert, already at around level 30. Master Nami also has one in her team.
