Vuurpin

Small, dainty and hard to crack: Vuurpin, a vuur and aarde Mebuly from the volcano island, is a rewarding first catch.

Vuurpin houdt vooral van een omgeving met hete lava. Hier kan hij ongestoord met vuur spelen en door de omgeving zwerven. Ook al ziet hij er kleiner uit, hij kan zich heel goed verdedigen.

In battle

Vuurpin's big strength is its defense – one of the highest in the whole game. Normal hits barely scratch it, and it handles Ki attacks (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game) reasonably well too. Dealing damage is another story: its attack and especially its Ki attack are low. With gloeiende bal and vuurbol it can set enemies on fire so they keep taking damage over time, and regenererende vlam heals it. Attacks of the elektrisch type have no effect on Vuurpin at all.

Where to find it and evolution

Vuurpin is a common sight on the map Volcano Island, usually at a low level – a perfect first target for a Zwak kristal. From level 32 you can evolve it into Lavaschild, an ancient giant that is even tougher but very slow.
