Starter Mebulys

Leaf, fire or water: the three starter Mebulys compared – strengths, weaknesses, evolutions and tips for your choice.

When you create your character, you choose one of three starter Mebulys: Паростик of type листок, Вогник of type вогонь or Крапелик of type вода. All three evolve twice – at level 20 and at level 40 – and gain a second type in their final form.

Паростик → Парослав → Крислань (листок and земля)
Вогник → Вогняр → Вогневій (вогонь and політ)
Крапелик → Краплюс → Зливень (вода and політ)

The type triangle

The three form a classic triangle: листок attacks work well against вода, вода attacks work well against вогонь and вогонь attacks work well against листок. Against Mebulys of its own type, on the other hand, each starter achieves little. You find the full chart under Types and type chart.

The three compared

Паростик is an attacker: lots of attack power, but little defense. Its final form Крислань is one of the hardest hitters in the game and has lots of health, but it is very slow. Паростик is weak against вогонь, політ and лід. Крислань is immune to електричний, but політ attacks hit it very hard.

Вогник has good attack values and the highest critical hit chance of the three. Its final form Вогневій becomes very fast and strong in Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game). Вогник is weak against вода, камінь and земля. Вогневій is immune to земля, but камінь attacks hit it very hard.

Крапелик is the sturdy one: high defense, but less attack power. Краплюс brings lots of health, and the final form Зливень is balanced and well protected. Крапелик is weak against листок and електричний. Зливень is immune to земля, but електричний attacks hit it very hard.

What does this mean for the first masters?

The first master (Майстер Ніборі) relies mainly on Mebulys of type політ: they hurt Паростик badly, while Вогник withstands them well. With the second master (Кохана) everything revolves around листок – here Вогник shines and Крапелик has a hard time. The third master (Майстер Намі) fights with вода: now Паростик has the advantage and Вогник the disadvantage.

Your choice is not final: you can get the other two starter Mebulys later in the shop as companions for gold (Mebulys in the shop). By the way, starter Mebulys and their evolutions cannot be released – they stay loyal to you.
