Starter Mebulys

When you create your character, you choose one of three starter Mebulys: Kiełkuś of type liść, Płomyczek of type ogień or Kropelek of type woda. All three evolve twice – at level 20 and at level 40 – and gain a second type in their final form.

• Kiełkuś → Latorek → Konarus (liść and ziemia)
• Płomyczek → Żarosz → Żarowir (ogień and lot)
• Kropelek → Kroplus → Chmurus (woda and lot)

The type triangle

The three form a classic triangle: liść attacks work well against woda, woda attacks work well against ogień and ogień attacks work well against liść. Against Mebulys of its own type, on the other hand, each starter achieves little. You find the full chart under Types and type chart.

The three compared

Kiełkuś is an attacker: lots of attack power, but little defense. Its final form Konarus is one of the hardest hitters in the game and has lots of health, but it is very slow. Kiełkuś is weak against ogień, lot and lód. Konarus is immune to elektryczny, but lot attacks hit it very hard.

Płomyczek has good attack values and the highest critical hit chance of the three. Its final form Żarowir becomes very fast and strong in Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game). Płomyczek is weak against woda, głaz and ziemia. Żarowir is immune to ziemia, but głaz attacks hit it very hard.

Kropelek is the sturdy one: high defense, but less attack power. Kroplus brings lots of health, and the final form Chmurus is balanced and well protected. Kropelek is weak against liść and elektryczny. Chmurus is immune to ziemia, but elektryczny attacks hit it very hard.

What does this mean for the first masters?

The first master (Mistrz Nibori) relies mainly on Mebulys of type lot: they hurt Kiełkuś badly, while Płomyczek withstands them well. With the second master (Kohana) everything revolves around liść – here Płomyczek shines and Kropelek has a hard time. The third master (Mistrzyni Nami) fights with woda: now Kiełkuś has the advantage and Płomyczek the disadvantage.

Your choice is not final: you can get the other two starter Mebulys later in the shop as companions for gold (Mebulys in the shop). By the way, starter Mebulys and their evolutions cannot be released – they stay loyal to you.
