When you create your character, you choose one of three starter Mebulys: Filizik of type
yaprak, Alevik of type
ateş or Damlik of type
su. All three evolve twice – at level 20 and at level 40 – and gain a second type in their final form.
- Filizik → Fidaslan → Kütükos (
yaprak and
toprak) - Alevik → Alazo → Korkasır (
ateş and
uçuş) - Damlik → Damlus → Bulutos (
su and
uçuş)
The type triangle
The three form a classic triangle:
yaprak attacks work well against
su,
su attacks work well against
ateş and
ateş attacks work well against
yaprak. Against Mebulys of its own type, on the other hand, each starter achieves little. You find the full chart under Types and type chart.
The three compared
Filizik is an attacker: lots of attack power, but little defense. Its final form Kütükos is one of the hardest hitters in the game and has lots of health, but it is very slow. Filizik is weak against
ateş,
uçuş and
buz. Kütükos is immune to
elektrik, but
uçuş attacks hit it very hard.
Alevik has good attack values and the highest critical hit chance of the three. Its final form Korkasır becomes very fast and strong in Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game). Alevik is weak against
su,
kaya and
toprak. Korkasır is immune to
toprak, but
kaya attacks hit it very hard.
Damlik is the sturdy one: high defense, but less attack power. Damlus brings lots of health, and the final form Bulutos is balanced and well protected. Damlik is weak against
yaprak and
elektrik. Bulutos is immune to
toprak, but
elektrik attacks hit it very hard.
What does this mean for the first masters?
The first master (Usta Nibori) relies mainly on Mebulys of type
uçuş: they hurt Filizik badly, while Alevik withstands them well. With the second master (Kohana) everything revolves around
yaprak – here Alevik shines and Damlik has a hard time. The third master (Usta Nami) fights with
su: now Filizik has the advantage and Alevik the disadvantage.
Your choice is not final: you can get the other two starter Mebulys later in the shop as companions for gold (Mebulys in the shop). By the way, starter Mebulys and their evolutions cannot be released – they stay loyal to you.
