Starter Mebulys

Leaf, fire or water: the three starter Mebulys compared – strengths, weaknesses, evolutions and tips for your choice.

When you create your character, you choose one of three starter Mebulys: Кълнчо of type листо, Пламчо of type огън or Дъждец of type вода. All three evolve twice – at level 20 and at level 40 – and gain a second type in their final form.

Кълнчо → Фиданус → Дъбан (листо and земя)
Пламчо → Жарко → Огнесмерч (огън and полет)
Дъждец → Дъждус → Тучан (вода and полет)

The type triangle

The three form a classic triangle: листо attacks work well against вода, вода attacks work well against огън and огън attacks work well against листо. Against Mebulys of its own type, on the other hand, each starter achieves little. You find the full chart under Types and type chart.

The three compared

Кълнчо is an attacker: lots of attack power, but little defense. Its final form Дъбан is one of the hardest hitters in the game and has lots of health, but it is very slow. Кълнчо is weak against огън, полет and лед. Дъбан is immune to електрически, but полет attacks hit it very hard.

Пламчо has good attack values and the highest critical hit chance of the three. Its final form Огнесмерч becomes very fast and strong in Ki attack (Ki is shown as “AI” in the game). Пламчо is weak against вода, скала and земя. Огнесмерч is immune to земя, but скала attacks hit it very hard.

Дъждец is the sturdy one: high defense, but less attack power. Дъждус brings lots of health, and the final form Тучан is balanced and well protected. Дъждец is weak against листо and електрически. Тучан is immune to земя, but електрически attacks hit it very hard.

What does this mean for the first masters?

The first master (Майстор Нибори) relies mainly on Mebulys of type полет: they hurt Кълнчо badly, while Пламчо withstands them well. With the second master (Кохана) everything revolves around листо – here Пламчо shines and Дъждец has a hard time. The third master (Майстор Нами) fights with вода: now Кълнчо has the advantage and Пламчо the disadvantage.

Your choice is not final: you can get the other two starter Mebulys later in the shop as companions for gold (Mebulys in the shop). By the way, starter Mebulys and their evolutions cannot be released – they stay loyal to you.
